These interests are legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.
1. google analytics
We use Google Analytics, an advertising analysis service of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"), for the purpose of designing and continuously optimising our website to meet your needs. In this context, pseudonymised user profiles are created and cookies (see section V of this privacy policy) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (such as your IP address, browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL, time of server request) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google is certified under the Privacy Shield, which ensures an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the European Commission's implementing decision. The certificate can be viewed at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI. On our website, however, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf. Google will not merge your IP address with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.
You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of our website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found at the following link in Google Analytics Help: http://google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.
2. Google AdWords Conversion Tracking
We also use Google Conversion Tracking to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimising our website for you. This is a service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google places a cookie (see section V of this privacy policy) on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google advert. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit one of our pages and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that you have clicked on the ad and have been redirected to our site.
Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie so that the cookies are not tracked via the websites of Adwords customers. The information generated by the conversion cookie about your use of our website, including your IP address, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. As stated above, Google is certified under the Privacy Shield, which ensures an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the European Commission's implementing decision. The certificate can be viewed at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI. On our website, however, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
Google will use this information on our behalf to compile visitor statistics for our website. These visit statistics are used by us to determine the total number of users who were referred to us via AdWords ads and thus to optimise our AdWords ads. This information may also be transferred to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on our behalf. Neither we nor other Google AdWords advertisers receive information from Google that could be used to identify you personally.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website.
You can also object to interest-based advertising by Google. To do this, you must call up the link www.google.de/settings/ads from each of the Internet browsers you use and make the desired settings there.
You can find more information about Google's data protection at the following links: http://google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy and https://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.
3 Google Tag Manager
We also use the Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. Tags are small code elements that are used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behaviour. The Google Tag Manager only implements tags. This means that no cookies are used and therefore no personal data is collected. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. However, Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been carried out at domain or cookie level, it will remain in place for all tracking tags if they are implemented with Google Tag Manager.
4 Google ReCaptcha
We integrate the function for recognising bots, e.g. for entries in online forms ("ReCaptcha") from the provider Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de , Terms of use: https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=de
5 Facebook Custom Audiences
We also use the remarketing function "Custom Audiences" of Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Facebook"). This allows users of our website to be shown interest-based adverts ("Facebook ads") when they visit the Facebook social network or other websites that also use this process.
For this marketing function, we use "Facebook pixels" on our websites, i.e. so-called tracking pixels are integrated on our pages. When you visit our pages, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via this tracking pixel.
Among other things, Facebook receives the information from your browser that our site has been accessed from your end device. We would like to point out that we have no influence on the scope of the transmitted data and its further use by Facebook and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge: Through the integration of Facebook Custom Audiences, Facebook receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding website of our Internet presence or have clicked on an advert from us. If you are registered with a Facebook service, Facebook can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Facebook or have not logged in, it is possible for the provider to find out and store your IP address and other identifying features.
Facebook is certified under the Privacy Shield, which ensures an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the European Commission's implementing decision. The certificate can be viewed at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC.
You can object to the use of Facebook Website Custom Audiences at any time for the future via https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/.
You can find more information on data protection and your setting options in this regard at https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads and at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.
6. Twitter Conversion Tracking
We use the remarketing function of Twitter Inc, 1355 Market St, San Francisco, California 94103, USA ("Twitter"). The Twitter remarketing function allows us to target you with adverts based on your interests on the Twitter platform. Twitter uses so-called "tags" for this purpose. This tag is used to record visits to the website and data on the use of the website in pseudonymised, non-personalised form. If you subsequently visit Twitter, you will be shown adverts based on your interests.
Among other things, Twitter receives the information from your browser that our site has been accessed from your device. We would like to point out that we have no influence on the scope of the transmitted data and its further use by Twitter and therefore inform you according to our level of knowledge: Through the integration of tags, Twitter receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding website of our Internet presence. If you are registered with a Twitter service, Twitter can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Twitter or If you have not logged in, there is a possibility that the provider will find out and store your IP address and other identifying features.
The information generated by the tags about your use of our website is transmitted to a Twitter server in the USA and stored there. Twitter is certified under the Privacy Shield, which ensures an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the European Commission's implementing decision. The certificate can be viewed at https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TORzAAO&status=Active.
However, if you do not wish to use Twitter's remarketing function, you can deactivate this function on Twitter at https://support.twitter.com/articles/20171528. Twitter also supports the "Do Not Track (DNT)" option. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions at https://networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.
Further information on Twitter Remarketing and Twitter's privacy policy can be found at https://business.twitter.com/de/help/troubleshooting/how-twitter-ads-work.html.
VII Use of social plug-ins
We use so-called social plug-ins of social networks (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Twitter) on our website (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and Twitter collectively "social networks" and the corresponding plug-ins collectively "plug-ins"). We use these plug-ins to offer you the opportunity to interact with the social networks and other users so that we can improve our offering and make it more interesting for you, while at the same time giving us the opportunity to publicise our company. The legal basis for the use of social plug-ins is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Responsibility for data protection-compliant operation must be guaranteed by the respective provider.
We use plug-ins from the Facebook network, such as the "Like" button. These plug-ins are offered and operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Facebook") and are clearly labelled with the Facebook logo. We also use plug-ins from the Instagram service, which is operated by Instagram LLC, 1601 Willow Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Instagram") and which are labelled with the Instagram logo. We also use plug-ins from the YouTube network, which belongs to Google Inc, San Bruno, California, USA ("YouTube") and is recognisable by the YouTube logo. We also use plug-ins from the Pinterest network, which is offered and operated by Pinterest Inc, 808 Brannan St., San Francisco, CA 94103, USA ("Pinterest") and which are labelled with the "Pin-it" button. Our website also includes plug-ins from the Twitter service, offered and operated by Twitter Inc, 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA ("Twitter"), and identified by the Twitter logo or the addition "Tweet". Finally, we use plug-ins from the Tumblr network, which is operated by Tumblr Inc, 35 East 21st St., New York, NY 10010, USA ("Tumblr") and is identified by the "Tumblr" logo.
When you visit one of our websites that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective social network. The content of the plug-in is transmitted by the corresponding social network directly to your browser and integrated into the website without us having any influence on the content of the plug-in.
Regardless of whether you have an account with the social network or are logged in to the respective social network, websites that contain social network plug-ins transmit information to the respective social network in the USA and store it there, including your operating system and its version, browser type and version, IP address, domain name and/or date/time stamp for your visit. The respective social network sets a cookie with an identifier that is valid for two years each time the website is accessed. As your browser automatically sends this cookie every time you connect to a server, the social network in question would be able to create a profile of the websites accessed by the user belonging to the identifier. If you are logged in to the respective social network at the same time, the respective social network can assign the profile to your account there and thus to your person. However, even if you are not logged in to the respective social network at the time you use our website, such an assignment - for example when you log in to the respective social network later - cannot be ruled out.
If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by clicking the "Like" or "Tweet" button or posting a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to the relevant social network and stored there without us having any influence in this respect. The information is also published on the social network and displayed to your contacts there.
The social network may use the information obtained for the purposes of advertising, market research and customising the pages of the social network. For this purpose, the social network creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to analyse your use of our website with regard to the advertisements displayed to you on the social network, to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website and to provide other services associated with the use of the social network. We would like to point out that we have no conclusive knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by the social network. For more detailed information on the type, purpose and scope as well as the further processing and use of your data by the respective social network, please refer to the data protection information of the corresponding social network (for Facebook: http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php, for Instagram: https://help.instagram.com/519522125107875?helpref=page_content, for YouTube: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de, for Pinterest: https://policy.pinterest.com/de/privacy-policy, for Twitter: http://twitter.com/privacy). There you can also find out more about your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy. Facebook/Instagram, YouTube/Google and Twitter are certified under the Privacy Shield, which ensures an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the European Commission's implementing decision. The certificates can be viewed here: for Facebook/Instagram https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000GnywAAC, for YouTube/Google https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI, for Twitter https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TORzAAO&status=Active.
As a user of a social network, in order to prevent the social network in question from collecting information about you during your visit to our website, you can log out of the social network in question at the start of your visit to the website, delete any existing cookies from the social network in question from your browser and select the "Block third-party cookies" function in your browser settings. In this case, your browser will not transmit any cookies to the servers of other providers for embedded content. However, such a setting may mean that other cross-page functions are no longer available in addition to the plug-ins.
